What UV DTF sticks to

Hard surfaces rather than fabric. If it is solid, smooth and clean, a UV transfer will hold.

  • Drinkware and glass

Mugs, tumblers, bottles and glassware. The most common use, and the one UV DTF handles best because it wraps gentle curves without distorting.

  • Promotional and merch

Laptop lids, notebooks, phone cases, toolboxes, helmets and gift items. Anything hard, clean and reasonably flat.

  • Signage and packaging

Window and door signage, shopfront lettering, branded packaging and boxes. Applied by hand, no installer required.

UV DTF questions

Pricing, application, surfaces and artwork.

Sold by the sheet at 600mm printable width. A quarter metre is R200, half a metre R300, three quarters R400 and a full metre R500. There is no setup fee and no per-colour charge, so you pay for the film you use and fit as many designs onto it as you like.

No. That is the main difference between UV DTF and normal DTF. UV transfers are applied by hand, like a sticker but with a proper printed finish. Peel, position, press firmly, then remove the top backing layer.

No, and this is the one thing people most often get wrong. UV DTF is for hard surfaces. For clothing you want standard DTF printing or embroidery instead, see t-shirt printing.

UV transfers are waterproof and scratch resistant once applied and settled. For drinkware, hand washing preserves the finish considerably longer than a dishwasher cycle, so that is what we recommend.

White is printed as part of the process, which is what allows colours to stay accurate on dark and coloured surfaces rather than going transparent.

Vector is best (.ai, .eps, .pdf, .svg), and high resolution PNG works. Tell us the finished size you want each design applied at, and we will lay them up to fit the sheet efficiently.

No. The smallest sheet is a quarter metre, and you can fit a single design or fifty onto it.
